Awataha Marae Incorporated

– was the first Marae on Auckland’s North Shore and established as an non-profit organisation in 1986.

Awataha constantly strives to provide services that draw people to come together. It is a place that teaches and preserves ancient Māori knowledge, narratives and customs.
Awataha endeavours to advance Maori and deliver cultural, health, education and economic development initiatives that create self sustaining revenues.
